Jimmy was born in High Point, September 15, 1940, a son of the late T.W. Holt and Edith Pendry Holt. He worked at Bouldin Furniture for many years and retired from Stickley Furniture. Jimmy loved his family, especially his grandchildren and he enjoyed rocking on his front porch. He loved his Ford red belly tractor, which he rebuilt from scratch.
Jimmy was preceded in death by a son, Randy Lee Holt; a grandson, Kenneth Michael Stone, a sister, Betty Underwood and a brother, Darrell Holt.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Billie Holt; three daughters, Sharon Mathis, Linda Zappala and Jody Lee Holt; five grandchildren, Adrienne Stone, Callie Mathis, Melina Zappala, Walker Holt and Michaela Lucas; a sister, Phyllis Holt.
A Celebration of Jimmy’s life will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Davis Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bynum Orr and Scott Newsome. Burial will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 1 until 2 p.m.
