Victoria McAllister

McAllister - Victoria (Vicki), nee Gajek, at the age of 97 on November 15, 2016 at her daughter's home in Jacksonville, Florida. Predeceased by the love of her life, husband Edward, Victoria is survived by her daughters Virginia and Maureen, son-in-law Stephen, her granddaughters Jennifer, Lesley and Stephanie and two great grand daughters. Formerly of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, Victoria moved to Hicksville in 1956 and enjoyed her life as a wife, mother, grandmother. and friend for over 60 years. Vicki was very active in the Holy Family Parish and was one of the original founding members of the Holy Family Players which provided song, dance and entertainment to the parishioners. Vicki enjoyed traveling and socializing with friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, friendliness and unbounded energy as well as her compassion and love of animals. Her devotion, love and support for her children, family and friends will be sorely missed. Family and friends may visit at the Vernon C. Wagner funeral home on Sunday & Monday 2-4 & 7-9PM Funeral Mass Tuesday 10:00AM at Holy Family RC Church, 17 Fordham Ave. Hicksville. Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Rd. Westbury, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to ASPCA, in her memory.
