Pat was a giving person all the way back in grade school. I knew him from being paperboys in the 7th. grade. I had one route (The Journal) that I delivered 6 days a week and 1 Tablet route I delivered 1 day a week. Collecting from people on the Journal route was difficult and had to take the Tablet money to pay for the Journal route. Eventually had to quit the Journal, and kept the Tablet. Pat knew I had quit, and a few weeks later remembered me and came to my house and asked me if I wanted his route right on my street (38th. Street)because he was going to another job. A few weeks later he came back to my house and told me the route was mine. I kept that route for two years thanks to Pat. He hardly knew me at the time, but he thought of me anyway, and I have never forgotten him for that. Got to know Pat better as the years went on and always knew him to be a Kind, Generous, Happy person. THANK YOU PAT FOR ALL YOU DID FOR ALL OF US!!!

Many of us first met Pat when he was the butcher at Trunz (now Deidre Maeve's) in Breezy Point.  He was a charmer! It did not matter if you were 19 or 90 years of age - he flattered all the ladies with his cheerful attention. He loved his family, his friends, his students, and  his various co-workers from all walks of life. But the love of his life was Dolores. Thank you to Dolores for making him so happy. Pat lived to help others so with him in mind, let us all contribute to his legacy and make him proud of us  - please do whatever you can to help someone, anyone.

I met Pat at Trunz Meats in Brooklyn and he was bigger than life and as I got to know and love the guy he always made me feel that I was part of something great. He was the part of something great in all that he did in his life and what he did for others. I will miss you Pat and I am sorry that I will not see you again in this life.

I first met Pat back in 2001 while I was attending St. John's University, through the Campus Ministry office and Habitat for Humanity club. He made an immediate impression with such a big personality and kind heart. After we got to know each other he got involved with my mother's nonprofit organization, MOMMAS House, where we house homeless young mothers and their babies. He did household maintenance and supervised volunteer projects for us for many years. He also played Santa for us for a couple of times.  We could always expect him to pop in every few months to say hello.  He would walk into the office yelling IS THIS BIG MOMMAS HOUSE?!. Every time, it didn't matter if there was a meeting going on or we were on an important phone call.  He certainly reminded us not to take life too seriously.  He was such a dynamic and jubilant person. And it seemed like every day he was doing something to help someone in need. We are so sad to hear about his sudden passing.  We will miss him very much.

How do you say goodbye to a man who was bigger than life? It will take a long time for the world to adjust to life without Pat Tracy. 
MOMMAS House was blessed to have him in our lives and we already miss his many moments of giving.
He spoke so much about his family, so please accept our condolences on your great loss.

I think I can speak on behalf of the entire St. Joseph's College community when I say that you were one of a kind. Kind, gentle, respectful, caring, humorous, etc. etc. the list could go on for days. We will miss you! R.I.P. Pat

I can't believe I am writing this for you Patrick. I have known you for more than 50 years,hung out with you for as long as I can remember. I remember you took me to my first bar grandmas with my phony baptismal certificate and I got kicked out .  You helped me and my brother Jim celebrate Christmas in July pretty much every year. The Christmases you made children's eyes sparkle playing Santa,celebrating the holidays at Jim and Eileens. I can't believe you are gone I want to wake up and have you yelling my name . I love you Patrick, Our Lives will not be the same.  Me ,Liz and Steph will now have to get the Hippy Dippy Nursing Home going without you.Till we meet again
