Michael J. Doncer

Michael was born in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, to Stanley and Anna Doncer. He was the cherished husband of Camille Doncer, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of love and companionship. Michael was the proud father of Jennifer Doncer-Brooks (Dan Brooks) and Christopher Doncer (Christina Claus), and a adored son-in-law to Viola Gentile.

A dedicated United States Army veteran, Michael also served with the auxiliary Coast Guard. His military service was a point of great pride, reflecting his strong sense of duty and love for his country.

Outside of his service to the country, Michael was a man who found peace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed spending time on the water, boating and fishing, and he also had a passion for hitting the links, enjoying many rounds of golf throughout his life. His hobbies were a reflection of his love for nature and the outdoors.

Michael’s family and friends will always remember him as a kind and loving soul, whose sense of humor and generosity brought light into the lives of everyone he knew. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the honor of knowing him.

A Funeral Mass will be held for Michael on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 500 S Oyster Bay Rd, Hicksville, NY 11801. Following the service, an Inurnment will take place from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
