Ms. Thelma B Buff

Hickory – Thelma Berry Buff, 85 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 17, 1937 in Burke County, NC, Thelma was the daughter of the late Lawrence Roosevelt and Myrtle Huffman Berry. She loved to seam socks and decorate cakes. She loved all of her family and was loved by them and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Buff and a daughter, Linda Buff, as well as 4 siblings, Marshall, Clara, Evelyn and Lucille.

Those left to cherish her memory include, a daughter, Cindy Watson and husband, Michael; a son, Michael Buff; a brother, David Berry and wife, Martha; a sister, Kay Ramirez and husband, Bill; 4 grandchildren, Jesse Buff, Christopher Watson, Patrick Watson and wife, Nikki and Katrina McEllen and husband, Michael; 6 great grandchildren, Maggie, Valerie, Gwen, Michael, Jasmine and Emma and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 11:00 am with Pastor Jeff Brown officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park at the Garden Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 am to 10:45 am at Catawba Funeral Home.
