Sarah Kathryn Morgan-Hardman

SARAH KATHRYN MORGAN-HARDMAN, age 42, went to be with her Lord on Nov. 15, 2016 in Hickory, NC after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 5, 1974 in Hickory, NC to Neil (Toby) Morgan and Rebecca Morgan Hasty. In Sept. 2008 Sarah married Jonathan Bennett Hardman and their only son Neil Thomas Hardman was born in Jan. 2010. After graduating from Hickory High School, Sarah attended Averett University (Danville, VA) and graduated from East Carolina University (Greenville, NC). Sarah worked as a VP/Business Center Manager for People’s Bank for four years and was an active member of Rotary. Sarah was a devoted wife and mother and beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to all. Sarah is survived by her husband Jon Hardman and their son Neil, as well as her father Neil (Toby) Morgan and wife Kay and her mother Rebecca Morgan Hasty and husband Jim. Survivors also include her brother David N. Morgan (wife Lorie, daughters Caraline and Kathryn) of Richmond, VA and her sister Mary Morgan (daughters Lily and Meadow) of Asheville, NC. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from 5:30pm to 6:45pm at St. Stephens Lutheran Church-MS where she was an active member. The Memorial Service will then follow at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, Sarah’s request was that memorial donations be sent to St. Stephens Lutheran School, Adopt a Student: for Neil Hardman, 2304 Springs Rd., NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
