Randy Allen Lail

Born on June 8, 1953 in Catawba County he was the son of the late Junior “Arlie” and Dorothy McCray Lail.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Chad Lail and two grandsons Devin Lail and Cameron Lail.

Randy served in the United States Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He retired from Master Masonry as a bricklayer, and also the Catawba County Sheriff’s department.

His wife Karen Boyette Lail of the home; his sons William Lail of Hickory and Randy Lail Jr. of Hickory; grandchildren Maddox Lail, Kaysen Lail, Brandy Jones, Cherish Bounds, Hope Prevette, Ryan Lail, Kennan Lail, Noel Miller, and Jordan Blackburn; 13 great grandchildren; sisters Barbara Huffman (Larry) of Hickory, and Pamela Garrett (Alan) of Hickory, his brother Dale Lail (Frankie) of Hickory. Nieces Sarah McDowell, Nicole Spatz, Lauren Huffman, Abby Bumgarner, Lori Klingensmith and Shannon Duckworth; nephews Will Garrett, Ben Lail, Tanner Lail, Aaron Bumgarner, Joshua Boyette, and Curtis Huffman; and brother-in-law, Gary Boyette (Ann) of FL also survive him.

The family will receive friends, Monday, September 2, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 11:00 am at Catawba Memorial Park with military rites. Rev. Reick Hedrick will officiate the service.
