She was born on January 8, 1935 to the late Nathan F. Hovis and Edith Hollar Hovis in Catawba County.
Along with her parents, her husband, Luther K. Heffinger, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter Cindy Rudisill and husband Luther; sons, Luther Kenneth Heffinger, Wayne Heffinger and wife Tona, Terry Heffinger and wife Diane, Jeff Heffinger and wife Joy, Wesley Heffinger; all of Hickory; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Hovis Coffey of Hickory; and brother, Jack Hovis and wife Pat of Hickory.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 12:45 until 1:45pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
