Mildred Townsend Franklin

Born to the late Early Eugene Townsend and Maxine London Townsend, she is also preceded in death by her son, Ricky Franklin; grandson, Tyler Franklin; and brother, RA Townsend.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 56 years, Carl Franklin; son, Clay Franklin and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, Matthew, Kendra, Tiffany, Hank, Caroline, and Zoe; brother, Earnest Townsend; sisters, Martha Roberson and Marilyn Kelley; and dearest friends, Claudette “Frog” Huffman and Debbie Johnson.

Services for Mrs. Franklin will be held on Wednesday May 15th, 2024 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory with Pastor Mike Faircloth officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 12:00pm-12:50pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Michael Campbell officiating.
