Hickory – Marjorie Faye Hoyle Hurst, 92 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center surrounded by her family.
Born on June 18, 1932 in Caldwell County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Claude Lee and Myrtle McGee Hoyle. She loved line dancing and going camping, as well as, spending time with her friends and family. She was loved by her family and will be dearly missed. Marjorie was a member of Baptist Faith and a retired seamstress at Cox's Manufacturing Co.
In addition to her parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny C. Hurst; 6 brothers, Kenneth Hoyle, Kermith Hoyle, Claude Lee Hoyle II, Carroll Hoyle, AB Hoyle and Edward Hoyle and 2 sisters, Viola Hoyle Shatley and Joan Livingston.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Barbara Klutz; her brother, Wayne Hoyle; 2 sister, Judy Frazier and Shelby Craig; 2 granddaughters, Sandy Foster and husband, David and Tonia Bryant and husband, Keith; her grandson, Michael S. Klutz; 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Ramirez and husband, Neil and Chasity Wrigley and Nick Austin; 7 great grandchildren, Ryleigh Ramirez, Luke Ramirez, Lillianne Wrigley, Brianne Wrigley, Camden Austin, Arabella Austin and Hadley Austin.
A Graveside Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 12:00 pm.
