Mr. Lester Danny Ramsey

Danny was born July 16th, 1951 in Catawba Co. to the late Lester and Ruby Hatley Ramsey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Roger Ramsey.

He was a member of A Place To Talk (formerly known as Brookford Baptist Church) and owner and operator of D and R Painting.

Danny loved the Lord and helping others. He enjoyed hunting and playing with the grand kids.

Surviving are his wife; Rita Williams Ramsey, of the home, a daughter, Darlene Bays and husband Jeff of Newton, two sons; Danny Ramsey Jr. and wife Pam of Hickory, Roger Ramsey, of Pittsboro, three step-sons. Todd Smith, and Wife Tonya of Catawba, David Smith and wife Tammy of Sherrills Ford, Kevin Smith of Casar, four grandsons Ethan Smith of Catawba, Casey Smith of Sherrills Ford, Alex Ramsey of Summerfield, and Teneal Brooks of Sanford, four granddaughters Mandy Bays of Newton, Jessica McNeely of Carolina Beach, Amber McNeely of Hickory, Chelsea Smith of Sherrills Ford, Regan Smith of Catawba, Two great granddaughters Abbie White and Ashlyn White both of Newton, four brothers , Allen Ramsey and wife JoAnne of Wilkesboro, Dean Ramsey and wife Karen of Hickory, Howard Ramsey and wife Revonda of Vale, and Jimmy Ramsey of Hickory.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at A Place to Talk (Formerly Known as Brookford Baptist Church) with Josh McDowell and Reverend Kenneth Bryant officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
