HICKORY – Kathy Morrison 72, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2023.
Kathy was born on November 28, 1950 in Catawba County, to the late Lester and Evelyn Brooks Nance. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Kathy worked hard her whole life and retired from the furniture industry. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. Kathy enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Morrison; sister, Betty Reid; brother, Bobby Nance.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, David Morrison and wife Tonja, Matt Morrison and Liz Chung, Joe Morrison and wife Kelly, Justin Morrison and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Cannon Morrison, Kyndal Morrison, Cora Morrison, Molly Morrison, Brandon Morrison, Dylan Morrison, Caleb Morrison; sisters, Brenda Tomlinson, Maxine Nance.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 2 PM at Catawba Funeral Home with Pastor Dr. Jeff Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM – 2 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Highland Baptist Church.
