Kathleen Katy Bathke Gotchy

Kathleen “Katy” Bathke Gotchy, 63, passed away Friday, September 2, 2016 in Ogden, Utah, due to complications from her two year struggle with cancer. Kathleen was born in Sheboygan, WI and graduated from North High School in 1971. She married David Gotchy on June 2, 1971 and raised three sons, Todd, Scott and Justin. She lived in eight states and three countries where she absorbed and celebrated local cultures and languages.

Katy’s life was dedicated to her family as a homemaker, establishing a loving home for her sons and their friends. She was a Packer fan and a soccer mom spending countless hours cheering from the sidelines for her sons and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Gotchy of Hickory; sons, Todd Gotchy of Saegartown, PA, Scott Gotchy of Simpsonville, SC, and Justin Gotchy of Creedmoor, NC; grandchildren, Jade, Graci, Connor and Haiden Gotchy and Luke McGill; sisters, Maureen Griessmeyer of Sheboygan, WI and Mary Lee Finger of Thiensville, WI.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home in Hickory. Father Ed Sheridan will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.

A Memorial Service will also be held in Sheboygan, WI at a later date.
