Joyce (Church) Wright

Born in Ashe County, on December 23, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Ancil Blaine Church and Gladys Cornette Holden.

In addition to her parents, her husband Bobby Milton Wright preceded her in death.

Joyce was a supervisor at Hancock & Moore, and was of Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughters Markieta Lowdermilk, husband Chris of Hudson, and Tammy Stroupe, husband Brennan of Morganton; granddaughters Chelsea Lowdermilk, Jessica Lowdermilk, and Tabby Piercy; grandson Bobby Holsclaw; great grandson Thomas Piercy and great granddaughter Ramsey Piercy. Her sisters Robin Green, husband Bob of Panama City, FL, Sherry Shannon of Hickory and Wilma Huffman, husband Jack of Maggie Valley, her brother Albert Church, and wife Mickey also survive her.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm at Hickory Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Hickory Funeral Home. Reverend Lynn Parsons, Reverend Scott Huffman, and Reverend Eric Hollar will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
