Jesse Glenn Houser

Jesse Glenn Houser, 94, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Carolina Caring in Sherrills Ford, NC. Born September 18, 1930 in Lincoln County, NC, he was the son of the late Jesse Zemri Houser and Mary Ida Wesson Houser. A member of Grace Baptist Church, he retired from E R Carpenter and Galaxy Supermarket.

In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by brothers, Evan Houser, Hoke Houser, Ellis Houser and Ford Houser; and sister, Earlene Parker.

Jesse is survived by his wife of 15 years, Julia Houser; son Michael Houser and wife Jan; daughters, Diane Faw and husband, Buddy, Teresa Houser-Worrells, and Sarah Christopher; step-daughters, Sharon Aiken and husband, Brad, Angela Townsend and husband, Donald, and Judy Killian; grandchildren, Nadia Wilson, Katie Trivette, Tara Faw, Drew Worrells, Jet Christopher and Jay Christopher; five great-grandchildren and his fur baby, Charlie.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Grace Baptist Church in Bethlehem with Pastor Mark Bumgarner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Flowers need to be delivered directly to the church.
