Helen Louise Dougherty

Helen Louise Dougherty, 92 of Catawba, NC went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 14th, 2024 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on August 8th, 1931 in Union County, NJ, Helen was the daughter of the late Lawrence Willard and Alveda Matilda Norquest Sult.

In addition to her parents and 3 siblings, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ellsworth Lloyd Dougherty and her daughter, Barbara Mae Dougherty.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Rachel Hubbard; her son, Richard Dougherty and wife Mary; a daughter, Lois Borowski; 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one to arrive in August, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Saturday, July 20th, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Chris Faile officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sherrills Ford Hospice in Helen’s name.
