Elzie Faye Rumfelt

HICKORY- Elzie Faye Rumfelt, 86, formerly of Winston-Salem went home to be with the Lord on April 16, 2024.

Born on July 26, 1937 in McDowell County, to the late Columbus Harlow and Dora Noblitt Dalton. Elzie loved cooking, gardening and nature, but more than anything she loved her family. She was of the Baptist faith and loved gospel preaching and music.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Luray Rumfelt, grandson, Samuel Scott Brendle; siblings, Ellen, James, Luther, Jesse and Hubert.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rick Rumfelt; granddaughter, Brittney Nicole Coone; grandson, Nathan Rumfelt; siblings, Dolly Harris, Donald Dalton, Herman Dalton and wife Shirley, Velvie Guffey, Marilyn Rush, Lester Dalton, David Dalton and wife Sarah, Dan Dalton and wife Jeanette, Michael Dalton and wife Sylvia; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11 am at Catawba Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Grindstaff officiating. Entombment will follow.
