Dorothy Brittain Rudisill

HICKORY—Dorothy Brittain Rudisill, 86, passed away September 21, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice. She was born in Catawba County on October 30, 1928 to the late Clemon and Lillie Speagle Brittain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Fonzo Rudisill; her sisters Helen Travis, Vena Mitchell and Louise Ray; and her brother Steve Brittain.She was a lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church and she was the wife of the founder of Rudisill Cabinet Shop that was founded in 1967. She is survived by her son David Rudisill and his wife Ruby of Hickory; her granddaughter Alisa R. Buchanan and husband Jimmy; her grandson Andrew Rudisill and wife Annette; great grandsons D.J. Buchanan and wife Nicole, Devin Buchanan, Colton Sprinkle Noah Rudisill, Wyatt Rudisill, ; great-great grandson Benjamin Buchanan and her sisters Sue Smith, and Carolyn Whisnant. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Corinth Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 3:00pm at Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. William Kanupp officiating. Burial will follow at church cemetery.
