HICKORY – Bobby Deal 40, of Hickory walked through the gates with St. Peter at 4:20 PM on April 15, 2021.
Bobby was born on July 28, 1980 in Catawba County to Walt Deal and Paulette Archambault Cason. He graduated from Newton Conover High School in 1999. He was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church. Bobby was a disabled Army Veteran. He was a devoted son, father, brother, and loyal friend. Bobby enjoyed aquaponics and spent many hours building fish tanks and caring for his fish. He spent his childhood creating and running hit and miss engines with his grandfather Perry Jarrett.
Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Perry and Tressie Jarrett, John and Betty Deal; step-father, Claude Cason; uncles, Andy Deal, David Deal, Gary Buff; cousin, Gari Buff.
Survivors include children, Zachary J. Deal, Grayson and Paisley Summers; parents, Walt Deal, Paulette Archambault Cason; brother, John “JW” Deal and wife Nicole; sisters, Brittany Deal Lambert and husband Sean, Anna Deal; nephews, Evan, Ian, Gavin, Aiden Lambert; niece, Tressie Helms; maternal grandparents, Martha and Richard Drum; and his loyal dog companion, Jimmy Choo; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 11 AM at Catawba Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 5 PM – 7 PM at Catawba Funeral Home at other times at the house of his mother, Paulette Archambault Cason.
The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital Cancer Center for their patience and understanding for the many questions and requests made by the family for their loved one, “Rob”.
