Carla Lee Henderson

Hickory – Carla Lee Henderson, 76 of Hickory went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 1, 1946 in Holland, Michigan to the late Carl Walter and Leona Margaret Voogd Price. Carla had a strong passion for teaching and taught children from kindergarten through 5th grade. She was a beloved saint, wife, mother, and taught by example. She was cherished by her family and will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Carla is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Cook.

Those left to cherish her memory include, her husband of 52 years, James Henderson; 3 sons, Reuben, Benjamin, Lemuel, and 2 daughters, Ingrid and Chastity.

A Memorial Service will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Scott Hooks officiating.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at Catawba Memorial Park on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 am officiated by Pastor Scott Hooks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carla’s name.
