Brenda Kay Sigmon Parker

Brenda was born August 4, 1949 to the late Glenn Leroy Sigmon and Alverta Sigmon. She was a member of Saint Mark’s Lutheran Church in Claremont, NC. Brenda graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1967 and graduated with Honors from Lenoir Rhyne University in 1997. She love teaching and taught for 20 years in Catawba, Lincoln, and Burke Counties. She loved to shop and scrapbook pictures of her four grandchildren, and she loved her cats like her babies.

Survivors include husband of 46 years, Tony Parker of Claremont; daughters, April (Scott) Miller of Hickory, and Natalie (Jonathan) Cook of Hildebran; grandchildren, Avery and Andrew Miller, Chloe and Noah Cook; and a sister, Joyce Pharr.

Funeral services will be held at Catawba Funeral Home, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 3pm with Pastor Greg Simson officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:45pm. Burial will follow service at Catawba Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Humane Society at 3224 20th Ave SE Hickory, NC 28602.
