Brenda Propst Alexander, age 69, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born December 3, 1947 in Burke County, she was the daughter of the late Houston Propst and Betty Young Propst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Junior Propst; sister, Cathy Young; and brother in law, Clarence Young. Survivors are her daughter, Mary Louise Bollinger of Hildebran; and granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Cooke of Hildebran. The family will receive friends Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Hickory Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
