Billy Ray Davis

He was born on August 12, 1951 to the late George and Ruth Belle Buchanan Davis in Mitchell County. Billy retired from Hickory White Furniture Company after dedicating 27 years of service. He loved the earth and what it produced. Billy was a collector of rocks and a very simple man who loved his children. Billy is preceded by his beloved wife of years, Carol Jean Whitesides Davis, three brothers, and two sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters; Susan Davis Montgomery and husband John of Hickory, Laura Davis Henderson of Hickory, Jennifer Davis Sizemore and husband James of Hickory, son; Billy Davis of Hickory, and sister-in-law; Charlotte Davis of Hickory, and seven grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Hickory Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Hickory Funeral Home. Reverend Eddie Reynolds will be officiating the services. Burial will immediately follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
