Betty Shuford Weaver

HICKORY – Betty Shuford Weaver, 80 passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at Frye Regional Hospital. Mrs. Weaver was born July 20, 1934 in Cleveland County to the late Robert and Maudie Grigg Shuford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard Weaver; one sister and eight brothers. She is survived by her sons Rick Weaver and wife Shelley of Hickory, Terry Weaver and wife Kay of Hildebran, and Ken Weaver and wife Cindy of Hickory; granddaughters Stephanie Eddings and husband Clinton of Newton, Shannon Weaver of Conover, Kana Fleming of Hildebran; grandsons Chris Weaver and wife Jessica of Hickory, Brian Weaver and wife Lauren of Maiden, Wes Weaver of Hickory, Jacob Weaver of Hickory, and Jason Fleming and wife Karen of Longview; 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters Dorothy Martin of Shelby, Mae Whitener and husband Bill of Vale; a brother Alvin Shuford and wife Nellie of Lawndale. The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 19, 2014 from 1:45pm to 2:45pm at Sardis Lutheran Church. The funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 3:00PM at Sardis Lutheran Church with Reverend Anna Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
