Betty Jo Heflin

Jo was devoted to St. Aloysius Catholic Church and to her pets.

Jo is survived by her son Dick Nicholson and wife Brenda of Connelly Springs; sister, Frances “Bugs” Rullman and husband Carl of Hickory; grandchildren, Jo Anna Mulatz of Nokesville, Virginia and Jobi Schaeffer and husband Todd of Eaton Rapids, Michigan; great grandchildren, T.J.Schaeffer and Marci Jo Schaeffer, both of Eaton Rapids Michigan, and her beloved dog Poobie.

Jo was preceded in death by her husband Randy Heflin; daughter, JoAnn McKrill; siblings, Bobby Ray Pope, and Nellie “Peep” Locke. She also was preceded in death by her beloved pets, Poo Bear, Puddy Cat and Brandie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Friday, October 7, 2016 at Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory with Father Edward Sheridan of St. Aloysius Catholic Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:30 pm to 2pm Friday at the funeral home.
