Betty Jean McGee Bowers, 92 of Newton, passed away on May 13, 2021 at her residence.
Betty was born October 7, 1928 in Catawba County, NC, and was the daughter of the Roy Lee and Hattie Jane Hagar McGee.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James “Tommy” Bowers; brothers, Samuel Lee and William Franklin McGee.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Patricia Teague; grandsons, Steven Michael and Kevin James Teague; great grandchildren, Garrett, Blake, and Colby Teague.
The Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery with Chaplain Bruce Dayton officiating.
