Allene Adeline White

Conover – Allene Adeline White, 99 of Conover went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Born on August 21, 1923 in Catawba County, NC she was the daughter of the late Sidney Calvin Campbell and Mattie Bell Campbell Campbell. She was a member of North Newton Baptist Church for over 80 years.

In addition to her parents, Allene is preceded in death by her husband, Lester Linwood White, Sr.; 2 sons, Jerry Wayne White, Sr. and Lester Linwood White, Jr.; a grandson, David Scott White; granddaughter, Amber Elaine White; a great granddaughter, Amber Elizabeth Hartzoge; 3 sisters, Bernice Rash, Flossie Carter and Dorothy Moose; 3 brothers, Franklin James Campbell, Howard Campbell and Carroll Campbell;

Those left to cherish her memory include, her son, Richard Harlan White and wife, Marie Elaine Kaskie White of Richmond, VA; 4 grandsons, Jerry Wayne White, Jr and wife, Janice of Fate, TX, Aaron Richard White and wife, Sandy of Frederick, MD, Justin Matthew White and wife, Lisa of Richmond, VA and Jonathan James Gibson and wife, Ashley of Charlotte, NC; 3 granddaughters, Leslie White Porter and husband, Eric of Hickory, NC, Scarlett White Hartozoge and husband, Rick of Lincolnton, NC and Shauna Gibson Bevins and husband, Tim of Austin, TX, as well as, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great granddaughters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at North Newton Baptist Church on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Curtis Hagler officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Newton Baptist Church in Allene’s name.
