Piedad Haydee Pinchevsky

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Piedad Pinchevsky, age 84, on November 18, 2024, in Hollywood, Florida. Piedad was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend of many.

Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to her late parents Julio César Moncayo Bravo, Haydee Freire Moncayo, Piedad graduated from Colegió Guayaquil. She married her husband Samuel Pinchevsky through power of Attorney in 1963, then moved to Queens, New York where she started her family as a proud Ecuadorian American household.

She dedicated her life to fashion being a seamstress until her old age, but most importantly she dedicated herself to her family. Piedad was known for her quick, witty, and often raunchy humor, her cooking in which she poured her heart into, and most of all for her immense capacity to love. She and her Husband welcomed to her home all those who needed it, with a warm plate of food and clean sheets.

She is survived by her husband, Samuel Pinchevsky; children, Samuel James Pinchevsky, Carlos Julio Pinchevsky, and Tamara Diane Pinchevsky-Font; her grandchildren, Charles Samuel Pinchevsky, Micheal Christopher Pinchevsky, Joseph Carlos Pinchevsky, Samuel Jose Pinchevsky, Rebekah Cecilia Pinchevsky, and Christian “Cachito” Esteban Font Pinchevsky; her great grandchildren, Delilah Maria Pinchevsky, and Amelia Daisy Pinchevsky; her siblings, César Moncayo, Julio Eduardo Moncayo, Maria Rosa Moncayo Crotty, and Jorge Luis Moncayo. Piedad was predeceased by her brother, Julio Alfredo Moncayo.

Piedad had a passion for gardening, her favorite flowers being orchids, her home country of Ecuador, and most of all surrounding herself with beautiful friendships. She was a classy woman who took immense pride in her appearance and went through great lengths to look fabulous always. She will be remembered for her loving approach on life and her undeniable devotion to her family.

Piedad's memory will live in our hearts forever.

A visitation for Piedad will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 1:15 PM at Caballero Rivero Hialeah, 373 W 9 Street, Hialeah, FL 33010. Following the visitation will be a committal service from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn West, 14001 NW 178th St, Miami Lakes, FL 33018.
