Michael Phillip Golden, a beloved, long-time resident of East Rockaway, NY and more recently of Boynton Beach, FL passed away on Saturday, January 11th after his brave battle with Alzheimer’s at the age of 79. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon (Feld) Golden, his sister Elaine (Golden) Strumwasser, his sons Douglas (Rishanne) and Lee (Leslie), and his granddaughters Taylor, Allyson and Danielle. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Sally Golden. and his granddaughter, Haleigh.
Michael grew up in Brooklyn where he attended Erasmus High School and then graduated from Pace University. He spent the vast majority of his career on Wall Street at various firms, including Merrill Lynch as head of the compliance department. He retired in 2001 but continued to serve as an arbitrator for many years.
Michael loved to travel, coffee clutch with his pals from the Fraternal Order of Police and shop, especially for watches and neckties. He adored his two sons and his four granddaughters and enjoyed attending their show choir performances and other activities.
