Mary Beth "Buzz" Wright Dalton

Mary Beth "Buzz" Wright Dalton, age 91, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She was born August 8, 1929 in Provo, Utah to Orlinda A. Winterton and Lorin A. Wright. Mary Beth came to know and touch the lives of many people in her community in Henderson, Nevada since arriving here with her family in 1964. She was known to all by her nickname “Buzz”, which she acquired in her grade school years from her love to socialize with all!

Buzz was actively engaged in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she greatly enjoyed serving in the library and as a greeter in the local congregation. More importantly, Buzz had a unique talent for making everyone she met feel uniquely and individually valued due to her sincere interest in the details of their lives. In doing so, she uplifted all who knew her as she served them quietly and with no desire for public recognition. She delighted in simple acts of service and was thrilled to be hostess to anyone in her home. Her greatest service was to her family; both immediate and extended. And she considered her greatest contribution to be her children, whom she referred to as her “jewels”. As her children, we publicly and gratefully express our love and appreciation for her example and teachings. She will remain well and alive in our hearts for all our days.

Buzz was preceded in death by her husband, Keith T. Dalton; father, Lorin A. Wright; mother, Orlinda A. Winterton; and siblings: Larvin W. Wright, Zelma Wright Lewis, Boyd L. Wright, Dean H. Write, and Wanda Wright Leemaster. She is survived by her children: Pamela Kutzen, Debra Hafen (Andy), Terry Dalton (Marsha), Ty Dalton (Nannette), and Kay Dalton (Kari); siblings: Von Wright (Marge), Orlinda Mower (Robert), and LaRene Loy (Leland); 22 grandchildren; and 63 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Buzz will be held Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. An additional visitation will be on Satuday, May 22, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, both at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 567 Pacific Avenue, Henderson, NV 89015. Buzz will be laid to rest following at 12:30 PM at Palm Henderson Cemetery, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015.
