Lowell Howard Higley, age 81, of Dayton, Nevada passed away at home after a short illness on Monday, November 21, 2022. He was born on Feb 24, 1941, in Wichita, Kansas. Lowell was a fireman in North Las Vegas for 19 years. He served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff in Polk County, Oregon, before moving back to Nevada. Lowell was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Confederate Veterans, NRA and Masonic Lodge Amity # 4 in Silver City, Nevada. He was a resident of Boulder City for 20 years. His hobbies were Civil War Reenactments, rifle competitions and gunsmithing.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Dianne, daughters, Paula Farrell (Jim) of Las Vegas, Nv., Theresa Trainer (Bob) Reno, Nv, Sons. Lowell II Henderson, Nv, and Aaron, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. We will all miss him.
A funeral service for Lowell will be held Monday, December 19, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015. Lowell will be laid to rest with military honors at 1:20 PM at the Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Veteran's Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005.
