I did not have the pleasure to know this fine man in this life, but I just read the article about him in the Review Journal. My condolences to his family and friends. He seemed like an amazing person. A life well-lived and in service to others, and what he did for Tammy almost seems beyond the capacity of human kindness and goodness. Yet he did. Thank you, detective, and may you rest in peace.

My father's love extended beyond the boundaries of our immediate family. He was a devoted husband—a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering love and companionship for my mother. Their bond was a shining example of what a loving partnership should be, built on trust, respect, and a shared adventure through life's highs and lows.
As a friend, my father's warm and kind-hearted nature touched the lives of many. He had a genuine interest in people, always willing to lend a helping hand, and offer support where it was needed. His friendships were built on trust, loyalty, and a deep sense of camaraderie—values he believed were fundamental in nurturing meaningful connections.
Retirement and Enjoying Life's Simple Pleasures
After dedicating many years to serving our community as a distinguished officer in the Henderson Police Department, my father embraced retirement as an opportunity to indulge in his favorite pastimes. In the blue hues of the sky and sea, he found tranquility and peace. Whether it was playing catch with me his youngest daughter, fishing by the serene waters, or venturing into the great outdoors for hunting expeditions, he was in his element. Those were the moments of joy that etched radiant smiles on his face, and those are the moments that I will forever cherish.

Good afternoon, everyone. Today, I stand before you with a heavy heart, yet with a deep sense of gratitude and love as I remember my beloved father, who passed away on November seventeenth. I want to share with you some heartfelt reflections on the remarkable life he led, the love he bestowed upon us, and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
My father was a man of many titles—a dedicated father, a loving husband, and a loyal friend. To me, he will forever be my "Papa Bear," my best friend, and my guiding light. His presence illuminated our lives in countless ways, and though his physical presence may no longer be with us, his spirit continues to influence and inspire us each day.
One of the defining qualities of my father was his unwavering dedication to his family. As a loving father, he was always there for us—supporting, encouraging, and guiding us every step of the way. Whether it was attending our school events, cheering us on at sports competitions, or offering words of wisdom during challenging times, his support was unyielding.

The Hatch family would like to offer our condolences to the Williams family. John you will always be remembered by our family and we feel fortunate to have known you. I will always remember our shared times at HPD from general conversations, raids and search warrants and let’s not forget some of the lighter moments where you and Sparks would orchestrate some great pranks. RIP brother time for you and Jackie to finish you camping trips!
