John Trouble Williams Sr. was born on November 12, 1950, in Barberton, Ohio to Ralph and Eva Williams. The family moved to Henderson when John was in his late teenage years, soon after he met Jacqueline who he married on February 24, 1973, and spent the next 50 years completely devoted to her. He passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 73 in Henderson, NV.
John started working Patrol for the Henderson Police Department on July 10, 1972, and within 4 years earned the title of Detective. While serving he worked in multiple units including Narcotics and Fraud. He finished his career investigating homicides as the only Detective on Henderson’s police force.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. During retirement he enjoyed traveling, both with his family and as a member of the Nevada Trailblazers, a group of friends who traveled the country together in their RVs. John and Jackie visited all 48 states in the contiguous U.S.
John is survived by, son John Williams (Julia Fedor), daughter Jennifer Coulter (Michael Coulter), daughter Joan Williams, brother-in-law Rodney Nielson (Debora), granddaughters Ashlynn and Abigail Clark, grandsons Chase and John Huebner, and several cousins and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Ralph and Eva Williams, wife Jackie Williams, brother Danny Williams, parents-in-law Glen “Kay” and Norma Nielson, niece Amanda Williams, and grandson Wyatt Coulter.
Services will be held on Friday December 8, at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary & Cemetery, 800 S Boulder Hwy, Henderson, with a viewing at 11 a.m. and service at 12:30 p.m., immediately following the services we will go graveside where John will receive honors from the City of Henderson Honor Guard.
