Earl "Joe" Smith Jr., age 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2022. He was born in San Francisco, California to his parents Earl Joseph Smith and Edna Sofie Briggs, and was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.
Joe was an electrician and worked as a general foreman with the Las Vegas union, IBEW 357; at many locations in Las Vegas for many years.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Libby Smith; his brother, Don; and his sisters: Betty, Bobbie and Beverly. He is survived by his son, Nick; his daughter, Kara; and his grandchildren: Alexa and Kyle.
A funeral service for Earl will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary, 800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, NV 89015, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
