Donald Johnson, age 87, of Henderson, Nevada passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022. Donald Johnson was born in California on April 27, 1935. While he was raised in a very poor household he did not let this keep him down. He very quickly learned the benefits of hard work and close friends (friends so close that they became his brother's).
Donald Johnson enlisted in the US Navy during the Korean war and served for a few years before eventually taking a job as a contactor for the military. He was a very dedicated man to all those who were close to him.
Don was married to his late wife of more than 50 years, Audrey Johnson. They had a shared several dreams together but one was a dream to have a boat big enough that they could live on. Working together they made this dream a reality. Don was one to show that despite being born in a low income family, Don showed the world that if you can dream it you can bring it into reality.
During Don’s life he had several passions: he loved to go on fishing trips, scuba diving and driving sports cars. Don was also a dedicated member of the Freemasons and the Shriners. He also believed in caring for children. Don was known to donate to the Shriner children’s hospital and the Boy Scouts.
Don is survived by his children, grandchildren, and his siblings. In the end he was loved by so many and will forever be missed.
Don’s brothers wanted the world to know that they will forever remember and miss him.
