Dan William Stevenson of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the age of 74. After several months of declining health, Dan died peacefully with his beloved wife, Betty, by his side. Dan was born in Hemet, California on May 24, 1947, to his father, William Ray Stevenson, and mother, Frances Louise Stevenson.
The oldest of three siblings, Dan grew up in San Dimas and attended Bonita High School. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Citrus College. He custom designed pools for California Pools and eventually started his own landscape design company which is what led him to the growing community of Las Vegas. Dan was an avid golfer, and you could always find him out on the course playing scratch golf. When he wasn’t on the course, he was watching golf and football in his favorite chair.
Dan is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Campbell; his parents: William and Louise Stevenson; brother, Barney Stevenson (Thuy); sister, Gracie Glass (Ed); children: Chad Stevenson (Misty) and Amber Stevenson; step-children: Buffi Hendrix (Rob) and Ben Campbell (Kristin); 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life for Dan is planned for Sunday, February 20, 2022. Please contact the family if you would like to attend.
