Lorene Janet Swenson, 87, of Hemet, CA went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, at Bradley Gardens in San Jacinto, CA. Born Monday, August 4, 1924 in Litchfield, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Marie Berg. In 1952, the family moved to California, settling in Sierra Madre in 1955. In 1966, the family moved to Hemet, CA to purchase what would later become Ron Swenson Buick-Pontiac. Eight years later, they sold the dealership and moved to the state of Washington, where her husband worked as a representative of the Chrysler Corporation. They returned to Hemet in 1984. A devoted member of Trinity Lutheran Church since 1966, Lorene was a giving, loving, friendly woman who was a good friend of many. She enjoyed taking walks, sewing, knitting, golfing, baking cookies, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in passing by the love of her life and husband of 36 wonderful years, Ronald Swenson, and grandchild, Roscoe Cambridge. Surviving are sons, Richard Swenson, Randal (Jane) Swenson, and Dr. Rodney M. (Lorreta) Swenson; seven grandchildren, Lesley (Jesse) Robinson, Bonnie Swenson, Brett Swenson, Kelli Swenson, Jake Swenson, and Kammi Swenson; and great-grandchild, Cruz Pimentel.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Morningstar Cottage and Bradley Gardens for their love and sincere care.
