Gloria Lee Griffin, 87 of Hemet, California, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, at Parkview Community Hospital in Riverside, California. She was born on Sunday, December 10, 1933, in Glen Cove, New York, and she was the daughter of the late Merle William Morris and Helen Farrington Morris. Gloria was married to the love of her life, Jim Griffin, for 68 years. She was creative, outgoing, family-oriented and loved to entertain. Gloria played the Ukulele and starred in a duo called, "The Kit - Kats.” She would perform at the local Sierra Dawn and Seven Hill clubhouses on many occasions. She loved to read mystery novels. She and Jim were known for their puzzle obsession and expertise. She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Jim Griffin; sons, James Griffin and Ronald Griffin (Debora); sister, Merle Learned along with 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 8:00 AM to 9:45 AM on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Miller-Jones Hemet Mortuary, 1501 W Florida Ave, Hemet, California. A funeral service will follow at 9:45 AM. Interment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery at 11:45 AM.
