Gary Wendell McDonald, 82 of San Jacinto, California passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018, Born in Binghamton, New York, he was the son of the late Alston and Vivian Brock McDonald. Gary was married to the love of his life, Alice McDonald for over 60 years. Gary proudly served in the military for over 28 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Purple Heart. After retirement from the Navy, he then spent over 15 years working with the Aerospace Industry as an IT Security Specialist. Gary loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them as a often as possible and he was always quick with a hug and a joke. His family describe him as loving, caring , family oriented and having a good sense of humor. When not with family, Gary enjoyed spending time at the local casinos, where he enjoyed the slot machines and the buffets. He also enjoyed watching golf and football, especially the San Diego Chargers, on TV. Preceding in death were his sisters Jeannine Weiss, Wanda Szymanski, and Cheryl Graybill. Surviving his wife Alice McDonald; daughter Karen Boerner sons; Kevin McDonald ( Letitia ) and Kyle McDonald ( Laurie ); seven grandchildren; seven great -grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Winterstein and Jackie York ( Michael ) .
