Elmer M. Parks, formerly of Hemet, California was born Thursday, December 6, 1917 in Peck, Idaho, he was the son of the late Miles Parks and the late May Ellen Parks. Elmer worked as an Air Traffic Controller for 23 years. He enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and spending time with his family and friends. On Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Riverside, California Elmer was called home to be with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Maynard R. Parks, Rowena D. Leonard and Helen M. Pingree. He is survived by his loving wife, Edna Mae Parks; sons, James D. Parks and Richard J. Parks; daughter, Cheryl A. Parks; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Miller-Jones Moreno Valley Mortuary located at 23618 Sunnymead Blvd Moreno Valley, California 92553. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm at Harvest Christian Fellowship located at 6115 Arlington Avenue Riverside, CA 92504 on Friday, May 13, 2011. Inurnment will privately be held at Olivewood Memorial Park.
