Diane Lucene Grubb, was born on Tuesday, July 24, 1962 to Don and Delores Grubb. It has been said of Diane, "Her spirit was like a ray of sunshine that brightened every room she entered." She passed away too soon on Friday, July 26, 2013.
Diane had been a model for 6 years, so she had an artistic flair. She exhibited her love for the arts through photography. She loved photographing wildflowers and arranging them. It seemed that everything she attempted, she did well. She knew that she was good at many things; yet she maintained a modest composure and an innocence that was charming.
She loved animals. Often rescuing them from perilous situations; she had quite the menagerie.
Diane loved her family. She was part of a "girls club," made up of female relatives. Diane was a wonderful hostess, cooking up delicious manicotti and delectable Lemon Meringue Pie for all to enjoy. Most importantly, she was a wonderful friend and family member. She had a big heart, was kind, went out of her way to help others and care for them over and above what was asked of her.
Diane will be dearly missed by her companion of 13 years, John. Also feeling this deep loss will be her father, Don and her mother, Delores. She will be missed greatly by her brothers, Danny, Darryl, and Dennis and her sisters, Susie and Joanne. There will be a host of other family members who will miss Diane as well; such as, her great friend and sister-in-law, Valerin Winters.
A favorite quote of Diane's was, "What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us", Ralph Emerson. Diane touched many lives and will be truly missed by all those who were honored to know her and who loved her.
