Dennis James Elefante

On Wednesday, November 11, 2020 Dennis J. Elefante passed peacefully at his home in Menifee California. Born on June 24th, 1952 to the late Henry and Mary (Kasecky) Elefante in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. Dennis and Vicki (Akins) married in 1973 and had a wonderful marriage for 47 years. They went on to have a loving family with 5 children: Steven (Shaneen) Elefante (Show Low, Arizona), Andrea (Blue) Costello (Murrieta, California), Victoria (Chris) Vierra (Lake Elsinore, California), Travis Elefante (Menifee, California), and Chelsea (Corey Jones) Elefante (Menifee, California). Dennis had 16 grandchildren and step grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Dennis is also survived by his siblings Christine (Bob)Kulick and David Elefante. Right out of high school Dennis began working at U.S. Steel Mill in Vandergrift Pennsylvania. He went on to work for Kochka Arco as a mechanic before moving to California in 1978. Dennis found work in Garden Grove, California working for Mid County Chrysler Plymouth as a mechanic. Later he pursued a career as a Mechanic and Fleet Operations Manager for the Orange County Transit Authority. Dennis became a manger of technical services for Long Beach Transit. Dennis retired in 2018 to Wrightwood, California before moving to Menifee California- where he served as a consultant for Long Beach Transit. Dennis enjoyed woodworking, fishing and shooting.
