David Winkelman, 57 of Hemet, California passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012, at home surrounded by family and friends. He was born Monday, April 19, 1954, and raised in Hemet California and was the son of the late Richard Winkelman and Lila Winkelman. He was the husband of Linda Winkelman for 21 years. David loved his time as a Bulldog for Hemet High School. He loved to fish and travel to Texas to visit family. While Linda worked at the San Diego Zoo, he would love to visit with all the animals and enjoyed the Gorillas the most. David loved his M&M candies and he would never turn them down. He like to watch war movies and also like comedies. David enjoyed walks with his dogs which he referred them to as " His Babies " His family describes him as very nice, caring and loving. He was a man of few words but when he spoke about how much he appreciated and cared for his family and friends it was really meaningful.
Surviving are daughter, Tania Comrie, step daughters, Melody Jaennette, Mandy Broadrick, Sara Rainie, sisters, Julie Jenergan, Shelly Smith and Michael Winkelman; 5 grand children.
