Beverly Anne Nicholson

Beverly Anne Nicholson entered into her eternal home August 26, 2018 surrounded by family in her home in Moreno Valley, Ca. Her funeral service will be at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Moreno Valley, Ca. followed by interment at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Riverside, Ca. She was born August 14, 1933 in New Orleans, Louisiana to her parents Lionel and Inez Cagnolatti Scorza. She is survived by her husband Alphonse Nicholson of 67 years, her children Gwendolyn Touchard, Rosalyn Carter, Dereck Nicholson and his wife Crystal, Peggy Rees and Brian Nicholson, 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandson, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Beverly was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed entertaining in her home and she loved cooking traditional Louisiana style dishes. One of her favorites that family members often requested was her Okra and File' Gumbo. Beverly worked as a Seamstress in her younger years and for a short time as a Merchandising Rep in the Supermarket industry but most of her life was spent caring for her loving family. She was affectionately known as Grandma and GG, which stood for Great-Grandma. She was the Nicholson Family Matriarch and will be truly missed.
