Leonard L. Zastoupil age 84 of Hayward, Wisconsin passed away on Sunday March 23, at his home. Leonard was born on April 24, 1929; he was one of three children born to Harry O. and Lela L. (Wilke) Zastoupil in Janesville, Wisconsin. He attended Janesville grade school, in 1950 Leonard joined the Army National Guard, serving he country until 1956. On June 20, 1953 Leonard married the love of his life Violet Hoge’, at the First Congregational Church in Milton, Wisconsin.
Leonard worked for Don Kildow Builders, doing construction in Milton, Wisconsin. Leonard and Violet moved to Whitewater, Wisconsin where he worked for Midland Cooperative which became Land of Lakes from 1960 to 1985. From 1985 to 1991 Leonard worked for Lowell Hagen Trucking until he retired. After retirement Leonard and Vi moved to Hayward, where they found a great passion and a lot of enjoyment working in their vegetable garden. Leonard was also a devoted member of the First Congregational Church in Hayward, and was a man of many talents, conquering any task you put in front of him.
Leonard is preceded in death by, his father Harry in 1981, his mother Lela in 2003, and a brother Russell that passed away in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Violet, Sister Wanda Walhovd and her husband Gary of Janesville, Wi, and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M on Saturday March 29, 2014 at First Congregational Church in Hayward, Visitation 1 hour prior to service 10:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment will be at Milton Lawn Memorial Park in Janesville, Wisconsin at a later date in the summer.
