Delila Marie Schaefer

Delila Marie was born October 11, 1948 in Hayward, WI the daughter of Ruel and Pauline (Phillips) Hopp. She was raised in Hayward and then moved to Stoughton, WI. Dee started work with Nazareth House Nursing Home where she started as a nurse’s aide. While working Dee attended Madison Area Technical College and earned her Medical Technician certification. On July 24, 1975, Dee was joined in marriage to Danny Richard Schaefer in Stoughton, WI. Dee continued working at the nursing home and then retired after 40 years of service. Dee and Danny moved to Sarona, WI where they could be closer to family. Dee’s loving and caring spirit will bloom and grow in our hearts forever. She enjoyed her family, friends, sewing, knitting and going to auctions.

Dee is survived by her husband, Danny; one son, Nathan Schaefer; four sisters, Sandra (Larry) Moyer of Shell Lake, WI, Deborah (Richard) Barker of Trego, WI, Lisa Stout of Beloit, WI, Ruby Hopp of Spooner, WI; seven brothers, Jerry (Sherri) Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Otto (Linda) Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Danny Hopp of Stoughton, Edward (Lori) Hopp of Dresser, WI, Timothy Hopp of Edgerton, WI, Stanley (Doris) Hopp of Frederic, WI, William (Shirley) Hopp of Frederic, WI; and many nieces and nephews she loved dearly.
