BOSSIER CITY, LA – Santos “Andy” Morales, 82, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away peacefully on April 9, 2017. There will be a Celebration of Life on Friday, April 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Hill Crest Funeral Home. Burial will take place following the service at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 13, 2017 from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
He was born in San Antonio, TX on August 22, 1934 to Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Morales. Andy joined the USAF in 1952 and proudly served for 20 years. He later worked for TSE International for 24 years. Andy was a dedicated member of AFSA, Ch. 615, for 30 years and enjoyed traveling to conventions with his wife and AFSA family and volunteering every week at Veteran’s Bingo Hall. He attended church at BAFB Chapel 2. Andy loved animal shows, cooking for everyone, playing cards, JEOPARDY, and the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, Andy loved his family and his girls adored him.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Arthur Morales; and sister, Mary Gomez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 46 years, Dorothy “Debbie” Morales; daughters, Cheree Hoover (husband, Rick), Kim Reed, and Kristi Pierce (husband, David); grandchildren, Christopher & Julie McFarland, Dana & Brandon Clark, and Katye Beth Pierce, and Great Granddaughter, Gabby Bullouch; siblings, Ora Brown and Joe Morales (wife, Margie) of San Antonio, TX.
Honoring Andy as pallbearers will be David Pierce, Rick Hoover, Greg Salinas, Wenzel Oesterreich, Don Beasley, & Harold Swanson.
Andy had a big heart and will be missed tremendously.
