BOSSIER CITY, LA – Celebration of life services for Robert Laton Vernon, 76, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, June 7, 2014, a 12:00 p.m. Bro. Jace Roberts and Bro. Philip Vernon will be officiating the service. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Vernon was a member of Bellaire Baptist and enjoyed airplanes, boating, fishing and camping. He also loved planting his garden, washing dishes, and spending time with his kids, grandkids and all of his dogs.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother and father Era and Raymond Vernon, daughter, Cheryl Ann Vernon, brothers Le Roy and Joe Vernon. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Geraldine T. Vernon; daughters, Wanda Monroe, Rhonda Thornburg and Tonya Vernon; grandchildren, Ryan Thornburg, Kristina Monroe, Tammy Thornburg, John Monroe and Alex Thornburg; sister, Frances Villmerette; and brother Sam Vernon
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the family and friends who took time to come say their goodbyes. He loved all of you.
