Services will be held to celebrate the life of Martha Ann Cockrell at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Heritage Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Gil Arthur officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time.
Martha was born on April 28, 1944 in Bradley, AR. She was social and festive. Martha has always loved to dance. She enjoyed being surrounded by friends and family. She liked Zydeco music, LSU Football and all holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Cockrell; daughter, Malissa Cockrell and parents, Fonzo and Beulah Cooper.
Martha is survived by her sons, Keenan Cockrell and wife Gretchen, Kevin Cockrell and wife Catherine; grandchildren, Brandon Sweeney, Sara Oberlander, Melanie Self, Brooke Mann and Lauren Cockrell; eight great grandchildren; sister, Jessie Dodge; brother, Joe Cooper and wife Nellie; and several nieces and nephews.
