Judge Lee Youngblood Jr. was born July 29,1950 in Grand Cane, Louisiana to the union of Judge Lee Youngblood Sr. and Lillian Mayweather Youngblood. On January 26,1974, he was united in holy matrimony with Shirley M. Foster. The Lord multiplied this union with the blessing of three beautiful children, one boy and two girls. He retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force. There he was called Sarge or Blood. By family he was known as Buddy or just Dad.
Buddy is preceded in death by both parents Judge L. Youngblood Sr. and Lillian M. Youngblood, two brothers Jim and John (Pap), and one sister, Eunice.
Left to carry on his legacy: His wife of 49 years Shirley M. Youngblood, his children Elke Carley (Maurice), Eric D. Youngblood, Elisa Y. Beck (Michael), Eric D. Youngblood (Denise), twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two brothers; Floyd Hewitt and Fess Youngblood, three sisters; Annie Lacy (Cleveland), Stella Jackson and Elsie Clay (Curtis). A nephew, John F. Youngblood, whom he loved as a son. One sister-in-law Eva Youngblood and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
