Jerry Ann Skinner

LAFAYETTE, LA – Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jerry Ann Skinner, 85, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Skinner was born in Shreveport, LA on February 1, 1929, and passed away peacefully at her home in Lafayette, LA on June 14, 2014.

Jerry was a wonderful homemaker, accomplished seamstress, and enjoyed quilting. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, grandmother and great-mother who will be deeply missed.

Jerry is preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm Sneed and Juanita Tuggle Moffett; and granddaughter, Kimberly Rodriguez. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 65 years, Roger Skinner; children, Michael D. Skinner, Ronald O. Skinner, Diana Leger, Peggy Guibault, Jane Mallette, Ruth Skinner, and Terri Twigg; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Honoring Mrs. Skinner as pallbearers are Michael Skinner, Ronald Skinner, Nathan Oliver, Stephen Guibault, Doug Reed, Colin Skinner, and Clay Guess.
